I attended the PAYM Convention at Suntec Convention Centre. It was scheduled to start at 1.30p.m. I met up with Jingkai to go together. We took a cab as we were late and we arranged to meet Alex, Bernice, Chee Meng, Michael at the lobby. When Jingkai and I reached, we saw Jiayi and Esther at the second floor and gestured them to come down. Then together we made our way to the convention hall on the sixth floor. We registered first and got our tag and lanyard. Maybe we could use it for Christmas Carnival. Hahaha... We then waited for Jeffrey to join us. I told Jingkai to go to the side counter to ask for the orange PAYM shirt and Chee Meng and Michael went too to get a set for Andrew and Jeffrey. After Jeffrey arrived, we went in to get a table and we were short of a seat. Jeffrey 'volunteered' to go first LoL so there was us five guys sitting in one table and the three gals sitting in another.

While waiting for the Convention to start, Bernice came over and asked me to request for the three gals who we did not know to change seats with them so all eight of us could sit together. I was not sure how to get the ball rolling. I asked the gal in the middle who happened to be looking in my direction and I tried using my most humble tone to get my request. LoL I succeeded! and I acted like a gentleman by helping them to shift their glasses.

Gurmit Singh was the host for the day and he was very good. Before Mr Teo Chee Hian, The Guest of Honour arrived, he played some games and we 'sabo' Chee Meng. He was to go on stage and compete with the representative of the other side of the hall the longest sound with one breath. Chee Meng shouted very loudly and he only 'survived' 15 seconds. LoL The other guy lasted 20 seconds. Not long after the convention started with the singing of the National Anthem. It was followed by a skit presentation of the PAYM route to present. There was a short tea break and we wolfed down the sandwiches and cookies ahaha. Andrew SMSed me saying that he is not coming over anymore as he is very tired and drunk. -_-''' Next was the presentation by the Chairman and two Vice-Chairmen of the Central Youth Council, the decision-making body of PAYM about the recommendations made by YEC members across Singapore. Then it was DINNER TIME !!!

We wanted to take a picture with Gurmit Singh before going down to the gallery for dinner but we are pressed for time and there were too many people queuing. On top of that, the police is cordoning off the area soon for the PAP Conference. So we went down for dinner soon. As Jiayi, Esther and Bernice got to go down first since they are ladies, we got a table to ourselves and we went to get the food. I took more than my fair share as I thought we will be sharing so in the end I ate them myself. We finally got to take a picture with Gurmit Singh and he was a gentleman and very friendly.

After the dinner, we chatted about the Christmas decoration and walked around Suntec to have a look at the Christmas decoration and see what we could buy. In the end, it was arranged that Bernice, Jingkai and I will go to Concourse to buy the decorations while Jiayi will decorate the CC with the help of the campers on Tuesday.

Finally the funds for the SuperNova Christmas Carnival was approved but it is not sure when we can get our hands on the funds. Sigh... Time is running out and there are so many things to do. I am really very tied up by all these. Three weeks is a very short period. PENGZ!

We had a SuperNova Christmas Carnival meeting today at 7 p.m. The funds from Young Change Makers are not officially approved yet and that got me stuck. I also have to wait for Yaoxing to transfer me the funds even if we got the funds. So no choice, we have to settle the other stuff except the purchasing. It was a VERY rowdy meeting, I guessed they like it that way and I think I need panadol soon.

I started with the Haunted House sub-com. They were all prepared with everything except the purchasing and some minor details. Next was the refreshment side. More was to be done with the fondue and popcorn and candy floss to be settled. Then the Games Room. Absolutely rowdy and noisy. Funny how two girls can make so much noice. We have to go down again to confirm the games, set the rules and decide the prizes. Then the 'War' Games. Since Kevin is working alone at the moment, I have to help him more with it regarding the rules and preparation. Safety and Security is fine, with the lanyards being settled by Yingchee (In the end she told me she didn't have enough, LoL) and the namelist of all the manpower we have and the first aiders breifing on the actual day. After that, I mentioned to them about the SmartTutition (I wonder how many will sign up) and the CC decorations. I split them into two groups and we tried to gather some ideas. Ken said the decorations have to be up by Sunday. Trouble Trouble Trouble. We'll try then.

After the meeting, I went to meet Daniel for a late dinner and went to his place to slack for a while. I walked home later. I still have to attend the PAYM convention later. Bother.

Something to add to the Camp STAR;

After we went to 7-11 to buy alcoholic drinks during the first night, we went to play cards in the canteen and Andrew's face turned very red. We didn't have beer and his face was actually redder than mine when I am not a good drinker at all. And he kept saying 'Wa Bo Zui' ( I Am Not Drunk )

I found that Andrew is quite a sicko. Similar to SuperNova Camp, whenever the facilitators and campers had their meals, there were lots of meal boxes to be cleared. The rubbish bins will be filled to the brim with all these lunch and dinner boxes and it is quite a physical task to clear them. I should know; I did it for SuperNova Camp!!! Funny how Logistics I/C has to clear them (Clearing lunch and dinner boxes are related to logistics???)

Anyway, after helping to clear part of the rubbish, Hyder (Camp Assistant Main Coordinator) found many traces of ants crawling to the rubbish bins and they had a hard time getting rid of the ants. We used water to wash them away but soon, more ants will make their way towards the rubbish bins. So our dear Andrew got the boiling water in the kettle and poured the scalding water onto the ants, killing them. It's fine if he did it once or twice BUT he seemed to make it a habit and continuously boiled water and poured onto the ants. And he really seemed to enjoy killing the ants.

He did that during the second night and during the third day he was at it again. What's funny is that he scalded himself once when he poured the water and he actually blamed the ants for it. -_-''' And he continued the 'ritual'. I presumed he must have killed thousands of ants by these numerous boiling and pouring. He replied, 'Nope, Many Thousands'
*Clap* *Clap*
