I did nothing much today; slack at home, read some notes and watched television. Hmmm...... A peaceful day....... In the evening I went to work and went home...... Yawn...
It's the second day of the 'tragedy' LoL Nothing much happened around. I went through some of the quotes and stories I searched for in the past, including the one I told Andrew some days back. Suddenly I wanted to write stories of my own or pen some of my own quotes. and I realised my vocabulary is rather limited. I guess I have to brush up on my English. Maybe. Reading those stories seem to enable me to vent out my emotions. I am all right folks, I am not being sad or anything. Not that I am feeling down, sad, angry or negative. I just feel more at peace and I guess in a way I spent my time wisely. I will stay positive ! So you people, Andrew, Yinghui, Chee Meng, Xiaoying, Bijun, Jingkai, Yip Kai and the people from SuperNova and others, be well and we walk through everything together. We will go through camps, meetings, outings, studying and whatever may come our way. Let's stay strong as a group...... I think I am mumbling more and more 'weird' stuff ...... LoL but people, you know what I mean; let's grow in strength. It's been a pleasure knowing you guys.
I did not name everyone as I definitely will miss out some people as the group is too large to name. For you people who I have named; I know we have patches in our life we have to endure and go through. Let's help each other, even for those I did not name. I hope you guys know what I mean. Cheers.
(Forgive me for being eccentric today)(Below is something I experimented with)

I had a long phone conversation with Xiaoying in the afternoon and I do mean long...... We chatted for about 2 hours. We crapped a bit here and there and chatted about other stuff. At least it is not something bad. Xiaoying: KEEP IT UP, Trust Me on It. After chatting with her, I got ready to go to work.
Nothing out of the norm at work so I won't elaborate on that.
I was supposed to meet Yinghui at Noon to study but I had this terrible headache and
I slept till 2 p.m. In the end I reached the CC Mac at 3 p.m. So sorry YH. I went through some questions she had problems with but it took me an awful lot of time. I just couldn't think straight with the headache bothering me. I was supposed to go to work in the evening but Heng Giap, my team mate and colleague called to help me change my schedule. Thanks for the trouble. Hence I was available to go for the match. It was the first match of the Second Round, VS D.O.S. I took the same bus as Yinghui as she was going to Pasir Ris to book a chalet with a friend while I went back to get my knee guards. Later I went to meet Alex, Guangyu and Calvin to take a cab down to Ang Mo Kio CC, the match venue.
We reached there early and started the warm up. We took the lead from the start but we couldn't hang on to the lead and lost in the end. It was a pity as we had the lead right up to the last 5 minutes of the game. We just have to put the loss behind us now and strive to play a decent game versus the other two teams. We stayed to watch the game between the other two teams in the group; Beng Hiang Restaurant and Eng Tat Hornets. It proved to be a fiercely battled match, with Beng Hiang Restaurant being the better team at the end.
We took Coach's car back to Tampines and Guangyu, Calvin and I going for supper. After that I went home.
Today can be considered a 'Basketball Day'. I woke up around noon to meet Guangyu and the rest to get some matters settled and to have lunch. I have to lug the whole bag of jersey along with me as I haven't given the jerseys out.
After lunch, we walked to Pasir Ris MRT Station to take the train to Bukit Gombak for the Inter-Constituency Games. We went to White Sands first to meet up with Alex who's working there. I can't help but to poke fun at him about yesterday's match. LoL
It's a long way and I spent the time reading The New Paper and looking around. I glimpsed that Ze Xin and his company are on the train too. Match Opponents LoL. When we reached I went with Alex to buy refreshments. Bukit Gombak Sports Hall is very stuffy and rather small and we had a minor confusion when the players have to fill in the Declaration Form...... with ONE pen.
Match Time. It's not a very hard match...... we tried to widen the points gap and maybe we are too rushed...... Just managed to maintain a ten-plus points difference, at least everyone got to play and chipped in their bit. In the end we won by 18 points, 51-33. Next match : Kakit Bukit CSC at Delta Sports Hall. We just have to try our best, I won't think it will be an easy one though. Thanks guys, for coming down all the way to play.
Ze Xin and I had dinner before going to Singapore Basketball Centre. I have to draw lots for the Second Round and that will be after the last match; 9.45 p.m. So we just sat down and watched the matches. Eugene came down too. He was also at Bukit Gombak earlier. Well, I guessed I can't be that lucky everytime. It's not really a terrible lots I drew but the opponents are no pushover and they are supposed to be quite good. I drew D.O.S. , Beng Hiang Restaurant and Eng Tat Hornets. Well, no matter what we have to give it our best shots. ( Sorry Guys, i can't make it for the Second Round first match tomorrow as I am working)
Ze Xin and I accompanied Melvin to take the bus first before taking the MRT back. I got some medicine and porridge for someone before going back. Hope the person will get well soon.
Another long day...... I'm very drained after the rushing here and there. Well at least I didn't waste the day. Yawn...... Mr Chou, I'm coming to see you !
Well, as mentioned in my earlier entry, Today was a long day. Andrew kept me up the whole night, insisting that we shouldn't sleep as we might wake up late. I am going with them to attend the LEO Club of Singapore Polytechnic Installation and Induction 2006/2007 Ceremony. We went to Tampines MRT Station to meet Alex and soon, we are on our way. We reached Dover MRT Station at 7.30 a.m. We saw Patsy and her beau and we went in Singapore Polytechnic (SP) together. As they don't have the keys to open the doors, Alex, Andrew and I went to the Guardhouse to request for them to open the doors. That took some time as SP covers a large area. After that, they went to change into their formal wear while I idled away my time sweeping the floor. -_-''' Stephanie and her father arrived soon. Her father is a LION from Malaysia and was here to attend the Ceremony. Later, I went to the Main Lecture Threate 10 to help out. Along the way I chatted with Stephanie's father. He thought I was a LEO but apparently I was not. LoL It's not that I refuse to be a LEO but I was not from SP and I don't think there's an opening for me.
I helped out here and there, with the banners and stuff and later helping to be the back-up photographer. Chee Meng joined us later. The event was running quite smoothly. Andrew prepared a video presentation and photos from the SuperNova Camp were included. After that was refreshments but I didn't eat much or talk much. I was not feeling too well and felt weary. Stephanie was busy socialising with other LEOs and company. She left soon with her father and the rest of us went back to Club Room.
Later on, Andrew, Chee Meng and I made our way to Queensway Shopping Centre to pick up the jerseys for Tampines East CSC. We took a cab back to Tampines as we are too exhausted. Andrew and I slept for a couple of hours before going to Singapore Basketball Centre (SBC). I have a match at 7 p.m. Andrew was too tired and he went back first.
I didn't play today but the team won. We had a minor scare in the fourth quarter when our lead was cut from 14 to 4 but we managed to hang on and secure the win. This meant that we qualified for the Second Round (Last 16) and I have to go for the draw tomorrow night. I was pleased that we fought our way into the Second Round. We will give our best shot at the Second Round. Cheers to the team. After a late dinner, we made our way home and I was really worn down. I had a quick shower and slept. Just woke up to check e-mails and to update the blog.
I stayed at home in the earlier part of the day to sort out some documents and laze around. I went to meet Yinghui in the evening to study but I don't think we got much work done LoL I went to collect the keys to Room 3-8, the Meeting Room as I thought we will have the meeting there. It turned out that it was in Room 1-1 instead so I returned the keys and got the other set instead. Meeting went rather smooth today, though it didn't start off too well. The atmosphere in the beginning wasn't too pleasant but it was over and done with in a flash.
I guess I have to thank Jiayi, Esther and Bernice for making the trip down for the meeting and enable the meeting to run better and to the others too for forking out their time and putting in such commendable efforts. Let's hope we can get it running well. Thanks guys. Let's all try to work as a group.
After meeting, we went to have supper as usual. Andrew, Michael, Ee Sheer, Yinghui, Yaoxing, Alex, Chee Meng and I were present. Chee Meng gave us a treat today LoL and Andrew came over to my place. He wanted me to attend Singapore Polytechnic's LEO Club's Installation and Induction Ceremony. It will be a very long day tomorrow.

Pluto has been categorized by International Astronomical Union on Thursday, 24 August 2006 as a dwarf planet, thus stripping it's status as a planet, the ninth rock from the Sun. The reason for this is that under its new rule, a planet not only must orbit the sun and be large enough to assume a nearly round shape, but must "clear the neighborhood around its orbit." Pluto is thus disqualified, as its oblong orbit overlaps Neptune's.
Under the new definition, asteroid Ceres (A planet in the 1800s before demotion) and 2003 UB313 (Nicknamed 'Xena' by its discoverer, Mr. Michael Brown of the California Institute of Technology) and Pluto will be known as dwarf planets.
[Another object under consideration to be a planet in the International Astronomical Union (IAU) meeting in Prague, Charon (Pluto's Largest Moon) was not categorized]
Pluto was discovered after an extensive search for the hypothetical planet by the astronomer Clyde Tombaugh at Lowell Observatory in Arizona in 1930.
The name Pluto was supposed to have come from the Roman God of the Underworld.
After the change, the Solar System will have been in this order:
Sun - Mercury - Venus - Earth - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn - Uranus - Neptune

Went to the Academy in the afternoon for lessons and picked up my textbooks. My goodness, they are heavy and I have to heave them back to Tampines after that. I'm meeting Chee Meng to study at the CC Mac at around 5.30 p.m. I SMSed Yinghui to ask if she wanted to join us. She agreed later. I was waiting for Chee Meng at the CC. He was late (My retribution) and I sat at the staircase leading to the Auditorium. I then saw Yinghui and we went to Mac first. Chee Meng then arrived. I didn't get to study much, unlike Yinghui as Chee Meng and I went up to the office numerous times to find Christopher to submit some claims.
After that we went to YES to buy some stuff and went to Bedok, to see Yinghui home and to look for Stephanie. Andrew has a sum of money to pass to her and he lives too far away. I guess it's for Leo Club matters. After Chee Meng saw Yinghui home, we went to a nearby coffeeshop to eat and llater sent Stephanie home together. We then took a bus back. Oh... And Stephanie will be going back Malaysia for some days on Wednesday morning. Bon Voyage.
Hope you guys have a better day ahead. I'm thinking of expanding the blog to hold maybe MP3, lyrics and quotes, like my previous hidden blog. Hmmmm......
A normal day. I slacked at home and did some studying before I went out in the evening to pass Guangyu his letters and to head to CC to submit some invoices. I played basketball a while with the uncles there and went to CC Mac with Guangyu, Swee Hong and Tissa, Weng Yew's cousin. Tissa was also my teammate for my first basketball team, Sheng You. We chatted about some stuff and Tissa left. We then went to another coffeeshop for drinks and talked crap there and I made a move home. I read some stories online, chinese short stories about love, current affairs and stuff.
I then got a Site Meter for the blog. Andrew wanted to get one too but in the end I thought he screwed up with his blog. Apparently, he had deleted some codes and was busy trying to fix the problem. Wish him luck. LoL I tried to check for him the blogskin that he was using but in the end I found some for my own use Haha.
Back to the stories. Some of them are quite touching, some you all might have read in emails and other messages spread around. I then searched for more and in particular about paper cranes and other short stories. Touching, I must say.
Side Note: I spoke about hope the other time. It appears I really have to keep my head up; I don't want to drown...... Others only see the so-called happy and positive side and not the other. I don't know how far I am from settling the problem for I don't decide at all. And I am troubled by the fact that things may not go my way. I have confidence in what I do for I count on my ability and hard work and my comrades around me but this is of a different nature. I can try all I can but I don't decide the outcome. So people, once again pray for me, like how I will pray for you people.
While surfing the Net, I found information about Chinese Astrology, about the ' 5 Elements ' and our Chinese Zodiac Year. There are, in total 12 Zodiac Animals. Every Chinese Calendar Year has an animal to represent the year and 12 years form a cycle. Yet an 'element' will be attached to every Animal of the Year hence in total, there are 60 variations.
After I did some checks, Andrew is a 'Fire Rabbit' , Bijun is a 'Metal Horse' , Yinghui is a 'Earth Snake' while I am a 'Water Dog'. Each 'Element' Overcomes and generates a different 'Element' so they control and compromise each other. I shall explain more in my future entries.
Hmmm...... nothing out of the norm happened today. Andrew and I woke up in the afternoon and went down for lunch. We then watched this movie that was some time back. It was by Stephen Chow, 'Xin Jing Wu Men' and we were laughing non stop. Andrew got to meet his friends at 6.30 p.m. and there was not much time left so we just slacked around. I went out in the late evening to have dinner with Stephanie and chatted with her. After which I went home. Andrew was online and we exchanged some pointers about some stuff LoL. That remains confidential.
In all, a normal day.
(Happenings on Saturday, 19 Aug 2006)
I was supposed to meet Andrew at Queenstown MRT Station at 4.15 p.m. but I was late and I got to suffer the whole day. He was in a 'crazy' mode the whole day. We went to Queenstown Shopping Centre to settle some matters regarding the jerseys. Following which, I got Andrew to come along to meet Stephanie as she was not feeling well at Orchard. We planned to meet at City Hall MRT Station as we will pass by City Hall when we took the eastern bound train. Stephanie didn't see us on the train and we have to get off and wait for another train. We then planned to have our late lunch or dinner when we got back to the east. In the end, we alighted at Tampines and had Burger King. Stephanie didn't eat much. At first, we wanted to send Stephanie home first before Andrew came with me for my basketball match at Singapore Basketball Centre (SBC) in Aljunied but later she came along as she didn't want to go home.
Today's opponent was Bukit Batok CC. We started off well but we did not manage to widen the score gap, with the difference not stretching beyond 12 points and on seveal occasions they managed to pull back within a few points. In the 4th quarter, we managed to pull away and put in some good performance. I came in during the 4th quarter as my right foot was still hurting and didn't want to jeopardize our chance of winning. LoL I got an assist (Better than nothing) and we won by 19 points. Next match will decide if we can fight our way into the Second Round.
We went for supper after that and later Andrew and I sent Stephanie home. Calvin came along as he wanted to go to East Coast from Bedok. In the end he chose to go home and we sent Stephanie home. After that Andrew came over to my place as it was late and he helped to change my blogskin and added some other features. Thanks Andrew ! But there's a bit more to be done.
Side Note : There are things in life that we really have no control of and more often than not, these are the things that bother us the most. I am going through some changes and phases in my life, some of which I have no control over, The best or the most I can do is to pray and hope. Hope, a very unique and essential part of our life. A vital component in our life's engine-room. I can only hope that things will go my way, for I will lose my directions if it doesn't. I hope and pray for you all, my friends and equals, that things will process more smoothly and proceed on a more positive scale. So, let us all hope.
Went out at 2.30 p.m. to help out to prepare for the 47th National Inter-schools Team Chess Championship 2006, Mah Bow Tan Cup. Thanks to Alex, Guangyu, Jingkai, Andrew (from Pasir Ris Secondary), Yinghui, Michael, Yao Xing and Chee Meng for helping out. We first helped to line out the table sheets and to place the chess boards on the table and to position the chess pieces. We had a hard time with the chess pieces as we were unfamilar with the positions. Finally we got it done and went to slack in the canteen.
I went to shoot some hoops with Michael and I went home to have a change of clothes before I set off for the meeting. LoL in the evening I didn't meet them for dinner as my phone was spolit and I didn't receive their SMSs and replies. I apologize to you guys.
I went in late for the meeting and Ken was there. Meeting went on as usual and after that the campers got to go back first while the Main Com. stayed for further discussion. Sijie later came in too. Ken pointed out some suggestions to share with us and I thank him here.
We went for some supper later on and had some chat and laughter. Kelvin, Chee Meng, Yao Xing, Michael, Yinghui, Ying Ying, Andrew (Small), Jingkai, Yip Kai (Kaissandra, LOL !) were there.
Chee Meng, Yinghui and I went to Bedok to meet Stephanie for supper. Michael was on the bus too as he lives in Bedok. After the supper I saw Stephanie home while Chee Meng saw Yinghui home. Then we took bus 38 back. If we didn't wait for the late bus, I guessed we would have walked all the way home or catch a cab halfway.
Patience, patience. I need to show patience. I guess this is something we all need to show and learn as sometimes in life we tend to rush forward or get fed up with things easily. Maybe the things we want in life really don't come easy so we have to work hard for it. But of course, I know, sometimes it is really very very difficult, especially when you are very anxious, edgy and restless. I know, I really do.
It has been a long day. I started the day in the wee hours...... I took the same bus as Yinghui and Yingxian as I was around the area. We chatted and laughed along the way. Yinghui got off first and I alighted with Yingxian. I bought her candies and went on my home. Rested a while and went for my classes. In the afternoon, I went to the CC to settle some stuff, made some calls, booked the auditorium and basketball court for the Christmas Carnival and checked out the quotations from tentage companies and event companies. No concrete quotations from tentage and event companies as they need more information and details to quote. I guess I have to raise the matter to the committee then. After that I met up with Chee Meng and I asked if he wanted to tag along as I was meeting Yinghui for dinner. As usual, we made fun of Yinghui and sent her home. I got to visit her home as I wanted to use the washroom. LoL
After that Chee Meng and I went to meet Step. . She wanted to buy dinner and we spent some time with her, sorting her resume stuff. She passes me her previous Leo Club vest to let Andrew have a look. So many badges ...... Next Chee Meng and I went to Popular to get those hard plastics folders and we went on our respective way home.
A long day and I needed my rest so off to the so-called 'Lala-land'. -_-"
Hmmm...... nothing much happened today. I went to work in the evening at Seasons Reasons and I screwed up ! Letty, so sorry......
(I will try not to do it again ......)
There's a meeting on Friday for the Christmas Carnival but I don't think I can make it unless the timing for the help over at the Chess Competition is changed to afternoon. I guess we have to settle some agendas by this coming meeting. We are already running on a tight schedule.
I was late, again to meet up with Chee Meng and Andrew for the SOKA concert. Andrew was supposed to call me to give me a wake-up call when he left the house. Instead, he MSNed me. Maybe I didn't realise that my MSN is loud enough to wake me up. I reached there at around 2 p.m. , just in time to meet up with the rest. Yinghui (The Main Culprit), Yingxian, Yaoxing, Alex, Chee Meng, Andrew were there and we had to fill in this form. So many formalities for a concert.
I had a surprise when I saw Shuping, my primary school classmate. It has been such a long time. It dawned on me that she was a follower of SOKA too, as I had seen her aunt pray before, when we were doing projects over at her house. Well she didn't really recognize me when she saw me but we managed to acknowledge each other. Memories were like rushing in, like floodgates. It has been so many years.
After making small chats with Shuping, I went in for the concert with the gang. As what I had suspected, they held a praying session before the concert. It was like 15 or 20 minutes and I could only close my eyes and held my head low as I didn't know how to react but I am used to these sessions. The performances were quite good, if you consider that they are only early teenagers. I have the intention to include certain performances into the Christmas Carnival Concert. We did make some enquiries about that and we left. Next stop : Tampines East CC.
There was a basketball clinic session for the residents of Tampines East and I went to make sure things are all right. Only Ee Sheer and her two sisters are there, with the coach and the session has ended. Ee Sheer, Andrew and I went to the office to talk to Christopher, our youth officer about the availability of some facilities for the Carnival and if we could do cooking in the kitchen. Yaoxing joined us and we had to wait for Christopher to check out the enquiries.
We went to eat at the coffeeshop after this and I had a chat with Yinghui about certain issues. I guess no one could help her to break free from her own traps. Fight for your happiness.
We went to Tampines Mall and Century Square next to walk around and we saw these dog tags. Maybe we could get one each and engrave 'SUPERNOVA' on it. That will be unique. Yinghui left first and we went to Challenger then to S11 for a drink. We took some pictures there and left later. A fun day but tiring......
Andrew was staying over for the night and he slept early while I browsed the Internet and did some stuff. Slept at 5 a.m. and woke up in the early afternoon. Andrew was already up and using the laptop. Later, I got to learn that he had started a blog too -_-'' Seems like he likes every movement I made. We went out to study and was supposed to meet up with Jingkai, Yip Kai and the other Andrew. It seems Jingkai's phone was diverted to mine and everytime Andrew called him, I got the call instead.
Later on, I went to get some stationary and saw Kaymen. Played a few games with him and went back to find Jingkai and Yip Kai there. They left earlier and petty soon, Andrew and I called it a day too. We went to the basketball court and saw Chee Meng. LoL, I couldn't recognize him at first and Andrew was the one who 'woke' me up. Again, I played a few games, this time with Andrew and we headed off to a coffeeshop for drinks. We talked crap, and stuff like personal relationships, the upcoming SuperNova Christmas Carnival, the recently concluded SuperNova Camp and the next SuperNova Camp. Next we went to the CC to draft the logistics stuff we had after the camp. We might need it for another camp. There, we chatted again and talked about relationships again until it was closing time for the CC. We had planned to see Chee Meng home first before I accompanied Andrew to the MRT station. In the end, Chee Meng thought we were supposed to see Andrew first to the MRT station and we ended up walking almost the whole of Tampines North Hahahaha.... Andrew looked so helpless. After sending Andrew off, I took a bus home.
Side Note: Today's conversation with Andrew and Chee Meng was rather interesting and fun and we had some ideas. So...... stay tuned, don't miss out on anything. LoL I have to say we gelled more and got closer. And we have to attend a rather interesting concert, thanks to Chee Meng, Hahahaa but for brotherhood..... No Sweat... so.......
'Click' was a rather good movie. It speaks of this man working hard to provide a good life for the family, believing that this should be his first priority in life. As what we knew, time is a scarcity and more often than not, he has to say NO to the family due to work commitment. He chanced upon a Controller one day. One that could work on everything in life. He could fast forward life events he dislike or he could 'rewind' memories.
Things seemed fine at first until he found out about the catch of this gadget. It turns on auto mode when it detects certain patterns of his life, fast forwarding quarrels, illnesses and stuff. His life flew past him in an instant and he found no warmth and family love as he had always put work before all. He 'died', with regrets. He was given a second chance after that.
We often say, 'Time and tide, waits for no man' and to treasure what we have. But we never. The movie has served as a constant reminder to me to treasure what I have and to set my priorities right. Regrets are such daunting negatives. I don't wish to find what I value and treasure only moments before I leave this world. So guys, go for what you value and treasure, because after this lifetime, we will not have a second opportunity.
Cheers

5 August 2006
It was the National Day Dinner 2006 today and as usual YEC has two tables for members and in additional, three more tables for Kheng Chiu Happy Lodge (2 from YEC and 1 sponsored by James).
Before the Dinner, there was the SuperNova Christmas Carnival meeting to attend. Concepts were flying everywhere and we couldn't get down to meeting proper. In the end, I got Eugene, Chee Meng, Michael and Yingxian to discuss and guide the campers to go through their concepts and finetune it while the rest of the Main Com. (Yaoxing, Myself, Andrew,Patsy,Alex,Yinghui) went outside to discuss of the main structure of the Carnival. I could see that we have massive work in front of us.
Folowing that, we split into two groups, with Yinghui guiding some of the campers to Yumin Primary School and ChongZheng Primary School where the Dinner was held. They were to help out with Logistics as there were some miscommunication. Andrew, Chee Meng, Michael, Alex, Yaoxing and myself made our way to Tampines Mall to get some stuff, meet up with Ee Sheer and to proceed to Kheng Chiu to help the elderly to the Dinner.
Dinner commenced. I'm going to receive my 5 Year Community Long Service Award. Looking back, it seems like yesterday I had just joined YEC. From joining the basketball team to being an observer to joining the committee as a member. Time has flied, cutting through my life without mercy, leaving me to create memories for myself. When I went on stage, the rest of the gang was cheering me on and I felt gratified towards them. And I had to thank Victor, who brought me into YEC and taught me many stuff.
We fooled around during the Dinner (What's new ???) and it was a rowdy one. After the Dinner, Andrew, Alex, Eugene, Winnie and I went to Kheng Chiu to help out. Alex later went home first. We made our way to pick up Stephanie. We went for supper first before heading to Plaza Singapura for a movie. We watched 'Click' (2.20 a.m.) and it was a funny one, with emotions twined in the movie. I'll explain later.
After the movie, it was Home Sweet Home for us, thanks to Eugene sending Stephanie home first and then to my place. Andrew's staying over for the night. A long day but yea...... it was fun.
Cheers
Jinguang
Since almost everyone has a blog, so I started one too. So...... here's mine.
